Job description:
As a foreman, you are responsible for overseeing your team and for ensuring that the production process runs smoothly. You will supervise the operators and production employees and ensure that new employees are welcomed and integrated in the workplace. You will also inspect the quality of the products and ensure that the hygiene and safety protocols are followed at all times. In addition to coaching your team, you are responsible for analysing and resolving minor technical problems. You are capable of proposing solutions and optimisations, with an emphasis on the planning and efficiency of the production process. You will report directly to the production manager and debrief the other foreman when it’s time to change shifts.
Profile:
- You have at least two years of experience in a lead position
- You have demonstrable experience as an operator
- You have a problem-solving and hands-on mentality
- You have a keen eye for quality, hygiene and safety
- You are willing to work in a two-shift system
- (+) knowledge of food safety, food defence, welfare and environmental guidelines is a plus
- (+) experience or a strong affinity with the food sector is a plus
